ZAUM (stylized as ZAVM) is a demo cassette tape that was released in 1995 by the side project band of the same name. The band comprised Tool associates and drummer, Danny Carey.
It is the only officially released product by the band to this day. Few copies were made and distributed, it can be widely found and downloaded online through various outlets.

Trivia[]
- The track "Apparatus" begins with a sample taken from the 1979 film Caligula, delivered by Malcolm McDowell: "I have existed from the morning of the world and I shall exist until the last star falls from the night. Although I have taken the form of Gaius Caligula, I am all men as I am no man and therefore I am a God."
- Although a track called "Merkaba" also appears on Tool's album Salival, this isn't the same track as that on ZAUM's demo.
